Today is the day when NASA will land their Rover “Curiosity” - a 1 ton, nuclear-powered super-laboratory - on MARS! Follow the event on Gizmodo.com.au! Landing set to take place exactly 3.31pm in Australia and 7.31am in Europe!
This is the most scientifically advanced rover ever built, and the attempt to land it will be the most technically impressive landing ever attempted! It will enter the atmosphere with 13.000 miles pr. hour, will be lowered down with a rocket-powered sky crane and all this with 350 million miles away from earth will be done with 14 mins delay! In other words, when we get the signal that it has entered the atmosphere, it actually happened 14 mins ago! Try land an spacecraft 14 mins in the future!! Exciting! :D… Stay tuned!!
Photographer Dyrk Daniels says: “I noticed this little girl was leaning against the glass with both hands out stretched staring at the ‘big kitties’. I could not believe my eyes when Taj approached the girl, bowed his head and then placed his huge right paw exactly in front of where the little girl’s left hand was. It was incredible to watch. Taj let down his right paw, rubbed his cheek against the glass where the little girl’s face was and moved off.” Far from being scared, the little girl was so excited that she started clapping as she walked back towards her mother.
Here you see HOW OBVIOUS it is that Samsung are infringing on Apples patents a GREAT DEAL… The phone to the left is Apples iPhone and the other phone on the right is Samsung’s design long time after the iphone came out. What an obvious and embarrassing rip-off.
Yet, according to Business Insider, Apple and Samsung are “Squaring Off In The Patent Fight Of The Century!”
